Global Jigsaw Puzzle League (GJPL)
Global Jigsaw Puzzle League (GJPL) is the international governing body for competitive jigsaw puzzling:
officially scored puzzle solving, run under one set of rules. GJPL sets the official competition formats,
piece counts, official materials, rules and scoring, and connects every competition to a single four-level
pathway that ends at the GJPL World Championship.
The three GJPL leagues

CONNECT Corporate
— the corporate league, bringing Individual, Duo and Team jigsaw puzzle competitions into corporates as events and as training, with private internal leaderboards.

CONNECT Schools
— the schools league, for schools, educational institutions and eligible student participants.

GJPL Open League
— for individual jigsaw puzzle enthusiasts competing independently of a corporate or school.
The four competition formats

Individual
— one player against the clock.

Duo
— two players working together on one jigsaw puzzle.

Team Relay
— four players taking turns building the same jigsaw puzzle, one at a time.

Team Sync
— four players building the same jigsaw puzzle together at the same time.
Piece counts and competition levels
Ranked competition uses two piece counts: 300 or 500 pieces for Individual and Duo, and 500 pieces for the team
formats. GJPL runs four competition levels: internal competition, City Championships, National Championships
and the GJPL World Championship, where national champions compete. In countries with one participating city,
the city champion represents the country.
Official Licensed Operators
Each participating city has one Official Licensed Operator, a separate business licensed by GJPL to run GJPL
competitions and city championships in that city under the GJPL standards. Operators bring CONNECT to
organisations in their city, build each client's private internal leaderboard, run the city championship, and
log every session and its result with GJPL.
